In keeping with visiting my life I called one of my oldest friends tonight someone I’ve known since 1954 when we moved to Long Island. Ron Ostrofsky is as close to an older brother I never had. His parents and my folks met right as we moved to Long Island. And while Ron is about 6 or 7 years older than me, he took me under his wing and always watched out for me when I was a kid. He taught me how to build model airplanes and ships. We were in the same Police Athletic League bowling group. And he just was always the nicest friend to me even with the big age difference.
So I was so glad to speak with him tonight and find out how he was doing. His wife Marilyn is not well but he is really looking out for her and they are married probably fifty years. And I also do speak to his son Sean every now and then as I helped him with some legal issues over the last few years.
