4 in the morning, can’t sleep. Just one of those nights. Lots going on. While we’re dealing with this pandemic it seems as though our cities are burning. There are protests going on all through out the city because a white police officer in Minneapolis killed a black man he was in the process of arresting when he put his knee on his neck for a full 8 minutes while he pinned him to the ground and choked him to death.
It was police brutality at its worst and it really demonstrated systemic racism. The videos taken at the scene clearly show that the victim was not resisting arrest, that he was handcuffed forced to the ground and then held by this officer with his knee squarely on the back of his neck the victim said he couldn’t breath before he passed out and at least three other police officers stood by and did nothing.
This has caused wide spread protests throughout the entire country. The emotion is palpable and the protests have become violent. And the protesting is probably not helping the pandemic problem because these protests are not following many of the social distancing suggestions t help stop the spread of the virus.
