The nursing care I received during my 12 night stay at Northwell North Shore hospital when I,had my open heart surgery was phenomenal. Every nurse who cared for me was exceptional. And now under extraordinary circumstances these same nurse are now putting their lives on the line everyday when they go to work during this pandemic. They could get sick and in some cases die. And still they go, still, they care for sick, very sick patients. They are hero’s.
And the only thing I can do, the only part I can play in defeating this enemy, is to stay home, socially distance and try to retard the virus. It doesn’t seem like enough. But I,suppose, if we all do this , we can help, defeat this unseen enemy. It’s the least I can do..
