During these difficult times you look for little things to make your day, to keep you going. With Passover coming up I,was, hoping that we could have the traditional Seder foods on the table. I was hoping to do some kind of viral Seder. Well today I found out that our local Jewish deli would do a dinner for two with all the Passover foods, matzo ball soup, gefilte fish, biscuit and traditional sides. So we’re all set. And we will try to get everyone together and have a (viral) virtual Seder. Like I said, it’s the little things that we can grab on to so we can have some bit of normalcy during this terrible time.
Just as a frame of reference, as I write this we are going through the most difficult time of the pandemic here in New York. Our hospitals can barely handle the total number of cases. Over 3000:people have died here in the NY area. We are being told that the peak will come in about one week and then it might start to abate. But then, if that happens, we will still have to see how long it takes to return to some kind of normalcy. We just don’t know.
