Dealing with shoulder pain and upper body discomfort. Also a bit tired. Now all by itself implanting a pacemaker is a bit of a rough procedure. The doctor makes a three or four inch incision and then inserts a pacemaker under the skin. Then they attach electrodes to your heart. And now this devise helps pace the heart if needed or shock the heart if you get some really bad rhythms. It’s a big deal.
However, if this procedure comes on the heals of open heart surgery, as it has for me, than by comparison the pacemaker procedure was a walk in the park. Hopefully I’ll fully recover from the pacemaker procedure in a couple of weeks. It’s almost 6 months since my open heart surgery and I’m not completely recovered. Therein lies the difference.
Overall I just hope all this medical stuff is over for a while. Let’s try to get back to a normal routine.
